Mike (Hobbsy) - Drummer

       Mike has been drumming for 17 years.   When he first showed an interest in musical instruments, he wanted to play the\ flute, but his mother encouraged him to try percussion instead.   And it was a hit! (No pun intended).   Since starting to play, he's had the honor of playing with numerous bands of many different genres including rock, blues, country, jazz and contemporary and accompanied theatrical productions.   He's recieved honors and awards such as the John Phillips Souza Award and the United Stated Marine Corp Award for drumming.   He has had the honor of playing local to his hometown of Holbrook and as far as the Carribean waters.   Mike looks forward to the future of his growth as a drummer and the expansion of Truth Be Told around New England.   He resides in Whitman, MA with his wife, daughter and 2 dogs Zildjian & Sabian..

MIKE - Lead Singer

       I grew up in a broken home and was raised with much anger about my life’s circumstances.  I was in trouble with the law as a teenager and spent a lot of time working out my aggression with heavy metal music, drinking, and fighting.  I was a singer in several heavy metal bands; one was fairly successful.  After marrying and having my first son, I began to hear God’s call on my life.  I gave my life to Jesus Christ in November of 1999. I have had 2 more children and fatherhood has been a true blessing.  I had been singing in many bands through the years, but, none more important than Truth Be Told.  Singing about God’s love, promises, and forgiveness is my passion.  He forgave me and I’ve been singing about it ever since.

Vanessa - Bass; Back-up Vocals

      I have been a "seeker" for most of my life; knowing that there had to be something more.  I grew up in a loving home, but I was often wandering from church to church in search of finding out what I truly believed.   As I continued through high school and college I was performing often and my friend told me, "I see God in you when you sing."  I wasn't quite sure what that meant, but I know that I often used my singing as a way to pray.   Then, on February 13, 2000, in the depths of darkness and despair, I pleaded with God to help me to know Him more.  A man I had never met came over to me after the service and said,"You are one who seeks order.  The Holy Spirit knows what you need.  I saw a needle gently and slowly stitching your broken pieces together.  You need to be patient.  The Holy Spirit knows what you need, but it takes time."  I gave up singing in secular groups and now, I sing for Him, thankful for all of the blessings that have been given to me.
